Volunteer @ Masbia Kitchen. Feed the hungry.10.26.14

Join RJeneration & JICNY (Jewish International Connection of New York ) and help feed the hungry - actually roll up your sleeves and make it happen! YOU will be making a difference! 

Masbia, a kosher soup kitchen is located in Midwood Brooklyn, a heavily Jewish neighborhood with hungry folks from all religions n walks of life. "Masbia is where the rubber meets the road in the fight against hunger. We feed hot, nutritious meals to hungry men, women and children. No statistics. No bureaucracy. No middleman. We deposit food in empty stomachs."


Prep kitchen is small so we have space for 15 participants only.

Participants can be 10 yr and older so bring your kids and share this experience with them, engaging in a conversation about Jewish Values

 

10:30am-11:00am- Breakfast and presentation by Masbia leadership - Jewish Values, Tikkun Olam and why Masbia exists


11am-1pm- Food prep - We roll up our sleeves and prepare hundreds of lbs of produce for a weeks worth of cooking
